BIOGRAPHY

Urmila’s artwork is deeply inspired by the psychological and symbolic life of the inner Self. Drawing on the theories of Carl Jung, she explores concepts such as the unconscious, the shadow self, and the balance between masculine and feminine energy. Through her work, she addresses themes of self-discovery, spirituality, and reclaiming the feminine experience, translating personal insights and ongoing research into expressive visual narratives.

Her work often highlights the sublimity present in everyday life and interactions: the divine, ethereal, or spiritual qualities in the mundane that can easily go unnoticed. She holds a master’s degree in English literature, where she first encountered Jungian psychological concepts and their exploration of the human psyche as a bridge between the spiritual and human realms. This initial fascination led her to further studies in esotericism and related fields. Urmila views art as a journey: a way to explore the mind and connect with something deeper.

An Open Letter from the Artist

Hello Everyone! I'm Urmila who is deeply in-spired by the psychological and symbolic life of the inner self. Drawing from Carl Jung's the-ories, I try to explore the con-cepts of the unconscious, the shadow self, and the balance between masculine and fem-inine energy. Through my art, I try to express the themes of self-discovery, spirituality, and the feminine experience. I try to translate personal lessons and ongoing research into visual narratives. Influenced by the artist Peter Birkhäuser and his style, I see art as a journey-a way to explore the mind and connect with something deeper.
